How to Play Cali Shootout
Nothing here is on rails, so the first ten minutes are yours to waste or use.
- Redeem the codes before anything else. Eight work and they all pay cash.
- Get to know the map first. Four robbery spots matter more than the rest of it.
- Try the nightclub or the bank early. Those are the two most players have finished.
- Put what you earn into the safe storage rather than carrying it around.
- Join a faction once you have some money. Turf is not something one player holds.
- Spend on what you actually do. A house, a car and a weapon are very different purchases.
How a Round Works
Six things describe how this game works, and none of them are a level or a score.
| Part |
What it is |
How it works |
| The map |
One open city |
No rounds and no lobby. You walk out into California and get on with it. |
| Robberies |
Four of them |
A nightclub, a bank, a casino and a gold depository, each with its own badge. |
| Factions |
Join and hold |
You pick a crew and fight over turf with rival ones. |
| Money |
The whole ladder |
Houses, cars and weapons all come out of the same pile of cash. |
| Storage |
A safe stash |
There is a place to keep what you have earned so you do not lose it. |
| Server size |
30 players |
Big enough that turf actually gets contested. |
The robbery row is the one the game actually tracks. Four of its five badges are for finishing a heist, so that is what it treats as progress.

Cali Shootout Gameplay: Which Robbery Do People Actually Finish
The game keeps five badges and four of them are robberies, so the badge list doubles as a record of which heists people finish. 32,300,884 players hold the one for joining.
| Badge |
Players With It |
What that tells you |
| Robbed the Nightclub |
3,379,659 |
The most completed robbery in the game. Added December 2023. |
| Robbed the Bank |
3,295,738 |
Almost exactly as popular as the nightclub. Added October 2023. |
| Robbed the Casino |
2,837,527 |
The least done of the three original heists, but not by much. |
| Robbed the Gold Depository |
1,156,647 |
Fewer players, but this one only arrived in May 2025, so it has had far less time. |
The first thing that stands out is how few people finish any of them. Roughly one player in ten who joins this game has completed a robbery at all. The other nine spend their time doing something else.
The top three are close enough to compare fairly, because all three were added within two months of each other in late 2023. The nightclub edges out the bank, and the casino trails both by about half a million players.
The gold depository looks far harder at first glance, with barely a third of the bank’s number. Be careful with that one. It was only added in May 2025, so it has had about eighteen months less time to be earned. Fewer people have done it, and part of the reason is simply that it is newer.
What The Shop Actually Sells
There are 45 passes in this game and 29 of them are on sale, which is the biggest shop of any game covered here recently. Buying every single one would cost 10,152 Robux.
| Item |
Price |
What it is |
| M249 |
779 Robux |
The most expensive weapon in the shop. |
| AR15 Pistol |
759 Robux |
Its own listing calls it very overpowered with the fastest fire rate. |
| 100 Round AR Scope |
749 Robux |
A hundred round magazine, sold on firepower rather than looks. |
| Black Market |
549 Robux |
Opens a separate shop inside the game rather than giving you an item. |
| GODLY AK47 |
359 Robux |
One of a long row of automatic weapons in the middle of the price list. |
| Crime Boss |
399 Robux |
Perks for running with a faction. |
| Special Response Team |
399 Robux |
Puts you on the police side instead of the street side. |
| Dirtbike |
379 Robux |
Spawned at the dealership with a chat command. |
| Extra Bank Loot |
249 Robux |
Increases what a bank robbery pays out. |
| Boombox |
99 Robux |
Music, and one of three items at the cheapest price in the shop. |
Seventeen of those 29 are weapons, and the listings do not hide what they are selling. One calls itself very overpowered with the fastest fire rate. Others promise a tactical advantage, a hundred round magazine or a seventy five round drum.
That is worth knowing before you join, and it is the plainest example we have seen. Some games sell only clothes and colours. This one sells firepower and says so in its own product descriptions. The rest of the shop is perks like extra bank loot, a bike, extra storage and access to a separate black market.
Codes
Eight of them work right now and every one pays cash. The biggest is worth seventeen thousand. Our Cali Shootout Codes page lists them biggest first and explains why the amounts are argued over.
Who Makes Cali Shootout
It comes from Crimelife, a verified group with more than 1.4 million members, and the game credits a developer called Jaymayine on its own page. It opened in January 2023 and was updated yesterday.
It has passed 182 million visits and been favourited 470,242 times. That works out at one favourite for every 387 visits, which is a high share for a game this size and fits its 93 percent like rate.
Tips for New Cali Shootout Players
- Redeem all eight codes before you buy anything. They pay cash and cash is the only thing gating you.
- Start with BOSS. It is the biggest code and it is the one every list agrees on.
- Do the nightclub or the bank first. More players have finished those two than any other robbery.
- Use the safe storage. Losing a stash you carried around is the fastest way to undo an hour of work.
- Read what a weapon pass actually says before buying. The listings are specific about fire rate and magazine size.
- Look at the cheap passes before the expensive ones. Extra storage and a boombox are 99 Robux each.
- Play with a faction rather than alone. Servers hold 30 people and turf is not something you hold by yourself.
- Do not chase the gold depository early. Only about 1 player in 28 who joins has ever finished it.
