Last Updated: August 2026 | Badge counts and shop checked against the live game.
Defusal puts 16 players on two teams and gives them one job each. One side carries a bomb to a site and plants it. The other side has to reach it and cut it before the timer runs out.
Here is the odd part. In a game named after defusing, most players never do it. Only about 1 in every 10 people who have loaded in has ever pulled the wires in time. This page covers how money, guns and skins work, what the badges say about the players around you, and which similarly named games to ignore.

How to Play Defusal
You start each round with money and a buy menu rather than a locker full of gear. What you can afford depends on how the last round went.
- Load in and get put on one of the two teams for the round.
- Open the buy menu and spend your money on a gun and some utility before the round starts.
- If you are carrying the bomb, get it to a site and plant it. If you are not, get there first and stop it.
- Once the bomb is down, the round flips. Now the other team has to reach it and defuse it.
- Doing the objective pays more than a lucky kill does, and that money is what you spend next round.
- Put whatever is left toward skins, which you can buy and trade with other players.
Defusal Gameplay: Why Your Gun Feels Different Every Round
Every weapon in this game carries its own set of hidden numbers. Recoil pulls the barrel up as you fire. Spread makes your shots land wider apart, and it gets worse the faster you move. There is also a number for how much wall a bullet gets through before it stops.
Those numbers are why standing still and crouching helps so much, and why the gun that felt great last round feels wrong when you buy a cheaper one. Learning one weapon beats owning five of them.

Every Badge and How Rare It Is
There are 9 badges. Welcome is handed out for joining, so it works as a headcount, and every other badge below is measured against it.
| Badge |
Players |
What it takes |
| Welcome |
13,742,293 |
Handed out for joining. Every other number here is measured against this one. |
| First Blood |
8,291,702 |
Your first elimination. About 60 in every 100 players get here. |
| Consumer |
7,858,897 |
Your first buy. Nearly as common as a first kill, which shows how central the buy menu is. |
| Planted |
2,321,077 |
Plant the bomb once. Around 17 in every 100 players. |
| Defused |
1,360,190 |
Defuse the bomb once. Roughly 1 player in 10. |
| This is MY house! |
297,430 |
Say the line on the safehouse map. About 2 in every 100. |
| Final Flash |
113,163 |
Take someone out with a flashbang. Under 1 in 100. |
| I Wasn’t Worried For A Minute |
50,023 |
Defuse with less than half a second left. About 1 in 275. |
| A People Person |
40,736 |
Be part of a 5 person assist. The rarest badge here, about 1 in 337. |
Planting is far more common than defusing. About 17 in every 100 players have planted the bomb at least once, while only about 10 in 100 have defused it. Defusing is the harder half of the job, and the badge list shows it.
The two rarest badges are both team plays rather than solo ones. Cutting a defuse under half a second belongs to about 1 player in 275, and being part of a 5 person assist to about 1 in 337.
Money, Skins and the Shop
Money is earned inside a round and spent inside a round. It buys guns and utility from the buy menu and nothing else. Skins are separate and come out of the funds you build up across matches, and they can be traded with other players.
The Robux shop is unusually quiet for a game this size. Only two passes exist, a tip jar and a Gold Karambit knife, and neither is on sale at the moment. There is nothing here you can buy your way past, which is rarer than it sounds on a game with 88 million visits.
Games With A Very Similar Name
Three Roblox games sit close enough to this name to swap places in search results. If a guide or code list mentions one of these, it is not talking about this game.
- Defuse Division, a separate shooter by another team. This is the one every Defusal code list is really about.
- Defusal BETA, an older puzzle game where one player reads a manual while the other cuts wires. It has its own fan wiki.
- CounterBlast, credited in this game’s own description as the game it takes after.
Codes
There is no redeem box in this game and there never has been. Our Defusal Codes page covers which game the code lists you keep finding actually belong to.
Who Makes Defusal
It comes from a group called CN Entertainment, run by a player called Shuckman22. The group has about 34,000 members, which is small next to the game it put out. Defusal opened in December 2024 and has passed 88 million visits.
Its rating sits lower than most games this size, at about 71 in every 100 votes being likes. That fits a shooter where a single cheater can spoil a round for 15 other people, and the game leans on players to handle it. Its own description asks you to open the scoreboard with TAB and vote out anyone cheating on your team.
Tips for New Defusal Players
- Play the objective. Planting and defusing pay more than hunting kills, and money is what buys your next gun.
- Buy at the start of the round, not halfway through it. The buy menu is where a bad round turns into a good one.
- Learn one gun properly. Every weapon here carries its own recoil and spread, so switching every round keeps you at the bottom of the scoreboard.
- Stop moving before you shoot. Bullets spread wider while you run and tighten when you crouch.
- Keep a flashbang for the defuse. Taking someone out with one is rarer than any other regular play in the game.
- Watch the timer when you defuse. There is a badge for cutting it under half a second, and about 1 player in 275 has it.
- Talk to your team. A 5 person assist is the rarest thing in the badge list and it only happens when a squad works together.
- Use the scoreboard. Opening TAB lets you vote out a cheater instead of sitting through the rest of the round.
Defusal FAQ
How do you earn money in Defusal?
By doing the objective during a round. Planting and defusing pay better than kills, and the money goes straight into the buy menu next round.
How many players have actually defused the bomb?
About 1 in every 10 who have loaded into the game. Planting is much more common, at roughly 17 in every 100.
Does Defusal have codes?
No. There is no redeem box in the game. The code lists you find under this name are for Defuse Division, a different shooter.
What is the rarest badge?
A People Person, for being part of a 5 person assist. About 1 player in 337 has it.
How do you get skins?
With the funds you build up across matches. Skins can also be traded with other players, so a skin you want may already be in your server.
What can you buy with Robux?
Almost nothing right now. The game has only two passes, a tip jar and a Gold Karambit, and neither is on sale at the moment.
Why does my gun spray everywhere when I run?
Because every weapon has a spread value that grows while you move and shrinks when you crouch or stand still. Stop before you shoot.
Is this the same game as Defuse Division?
No. They are two separate shooters made by different teams, and only Defuse Division hands out codes.
How many players are in a server?
Up to 16, split across the two teams for the round.
