Last Updated: July 2026 | Roles, rooms, badges and gamepass ownership all checked against the live game.
Trend City RP is a city built for showing off. You pick a lane as a Kpop idol, a performer or a social creator, and then the city hands you places to be that person in: a night club with a dance floor, a studio to rehearse in, a green screen room for filming, and a beach for when you are done. There is nothing to beat and nothing to grind, which throws a lot of new players.
What you actually do here is dance, play music and get noticed. It came out in March 2025 and has been played more than thirty one million times, and unusually for a roleplay game of this size, almost nobody spends money in it. This page covers the roles, the rooms, every gamepass and how many players really own each one.

How to Play Trend City RP
There is no tutorial, so here is the short version. Pick your role, walk into the club, put a song on and dance. That really is the loop, and the players who get the most out of it are the ones who treat it like a stage rather than a game.
The one thing worth learning early is music IDs. A music ID is a number that points at a song, and pasting one in is how you pick what plays. Walk into an empty club, put on a track people know, and the room fills up. That single trick is most of the game.
- Join the game and pick your role. Kpop idol, performer or social creator. Nothing is locked behind this, so choose the one that sounds like the way you want to spend your time.
- Find the club. It is where the crowd is, and an empty city feels pointless until you are standing in a room with other people in it.
- Grab a music ID. Copy a number from a song list, paste it into the boombox, and hit play so the whole room hears it.
- Dance. Open your emote wheel and use it. This is the actual game, and everything else in the city is just a nicer place to do it.
- Practise in the dance studio if you want a routine that looks deliberate, then take it back to the club or the stage.
- Film in the green screen set if you make videos. Most players never walk into that room, which is exactly why it is worth using.
Trend City RP Gameplay Systems Explained
| System |
How It Works |
| Picking a Role |
You start by choosing whether you are a Kpop idol, a performer or a social creator. It is not a class with stats, it is more like deciding what you are going to spend your time doing |
| Dancing |
This is the actual game. Everything else is a place to do it in, so the dances on your emote wheel are the main thing you bring to the table |
| Music |
You paste a music ID into a boombox to pick a song. Everyone nearby hears whatever you put on, which is what turns an empty club into a party |
| The Club |
The room where most of the crowd ends up. Put a song on, get on the floor and dance with whoever is in there |
| The Dance Studio |
The quieter room for practising a routine before you take it to the club or the stage |
| The Green Screen Set |
A room built for filming. This is the one the social creator role is really for, since people use it to record clips for TikTok and YouTube |
| The Beach and Playground |
Chill-out areas for when you want to hang around and talk instead of perform |
| Servers |
Up to 40 people per server. A busy server is the point, since a club with three people in it is just a room |
Trend City RP Gamepasses and What People Actually Buy
Here is something you will not find anywhere else. Every gamepass in this game hands you a badge the moment you buy it, and Roblox shows how many players have each badge. Line those numbers up against the 3.8 million people who have ever loaded the game and you get a rough census of what the paid stuff is really worth to players.
| Gamepass |
What It Gives You |
Who Owns It |
| VIP Player |
The all-rounder pass, and by far the most popular thing in the shop |
1 in 70 |
| Boombox Plus |
The upgraded boombox for playing your own songs out loud |
1 in 206 |
| Piano |
Lets you play the piano, which is the one instrument in the game |
1 in 224 |
| 3x Stats |
Multiplies what you earn by three |
1 in 313 |
| AutoPlay Plus |
Plays music automatically instead of you queueing songs by hand |
1 in 333 |
| Dancer Bot |
A bot that dances alongside you, so you are never performing alone |
1 in 1,022 |
| Jeep |
A jeep to drive around the city in |
1 in 3,051 |
The short read: hardly anyone buys anything. VIP is the runaway winner and even that only reaches about one player in seventy. The Jeep is the real story, sitting at roughly one player in three thousand, which makes owning one the closest thing this game has to a flex. If you are only ever going to buy one thing, VIP is what the crowd picked, and Boombox Plus is the one that actually changes what you can do, since playing your own music is the heart of the game.
How we worked this out: these numbers count the badge that gets handed out when you buy each pass, compared against the join badge. It is a very close stand-in for sales rather than an official sales report, so treat it as a strong estimate.
Trend City RP Badges
There are eight badges and only one of them is free. The other seven are simply handed to you when you buy the matching gamepass, so there is no secret hunt or hidden room here.
| Badge |
How to Get It |
| Welcome |
Join the game once. Nearly 3.8 million players have it, so it is the one badge you cannot miss |
| VIP Player |
Buy the VIP gamepass |
| Boombox Plus |
Buy the Boombox Plus gamepass |
| Piano |
Buy the Piano gamepass |
| 3x Stats |
Buy the 3x Stats gamepass |
| AutoPlay Plus |
Buy the AutoPlay Plus gamepass |
| Dancer Bot |
Buy the Dancer Bot gamepass |
| Jeep |
Buy the Jeep gamepass. Only about 1,200 players have ever done this, which makes it the rarest badge in the game by a mile |
Tips for New Trend City RP Players
- Bring music with you. An empty dance floor fills up the moment somebody puts on a song people know, and the fastest way to become the main character in a server is to be the one with the good playlist.
- Know your room. A four minute slow piano track is lovely on the piano and a disaster in the club. Match the song to where you are standing and people will actually stay.
- Learn a few dances properly instead of cycling through all of them. Performers who repeat one good routine read as confident, and the ones who mash every emote just look like they are lagging.
- Use the dance studio before the club. It is the quiet room, and running through a routine there once means you are not figuring it out in front of a crowd.
- The green screen set is the sleeper room. If you make videos, that room is the entire reason the social creator role exists, and most players walk straight past it.
- Do not feel pushed into buying anything. The numbers above show that around ninety nine out of every hundred players own no gamepass at all, so you are not missing out on some hidden half of the game.
- Play on a full server. Forty people dancing is the game working as intended, and a near empty one is just a pretty map with nobody in it.
Trend City RP FAQ
Does Trend City RP have codes?
No. There is no code box anywhere in the game, so there is nothing to redeem. What players are usually after when they search for codes is music IDs, and we keep a checked list of those.
Why does the welcome badge say TOD?
Because the studio behind this game, OofMayy Studios, also makes a set of dance games called TOD and one called wOw. All of the badges here were made on the day the game launched and the TOD text got copied across with them. It is a leftover, not a sign you joined the wrong game.
Is this the same game as wOw?
No, but it comes from the same studio and shares a lot of the same parts. wOw is the bigger of the two by visits. Trend City RP is the one built as a city you roleplay in.
How do I play music?
You paste a music ID into the boombox. The game sells a Boombox Plus pass for the upgraded version, and there is a Piano pass if you would rather play an instrument than a track.
What is the rarest thing in the game?
The Jeep gamepass. Roughly one player in three thousand owns it, which makes it far rarer than anything else in the shop, including VIP.
Is it worth buying VIP?
It is the one most players go for, so if you are buying anything, buy that. But nearly ninety nine percent of players own nothing at all and still play perfectly happily, so it is a want rather than a need.
How many people can be in one server?
Forty. That matters more than it sounds, because this is a game about being watched, and a full club is a completely different experience from a quiet one.
