Slap Battles Tier List
“Which glove is actually worth grinding slaps for?”
Last Updated: July 2026
Slap Battles is the chaotic Roblox brawler where every fight comes down to one thing: which glove you have equipped. Slaps earn you new gloves, and gloves range from goofy joke picks to genuinely game-breaking abilities.
The game has pulled in more than 3.5 billion visits since 2021 and is still being actively updated, with the last patch landing the day before this guide was written. That kind of pace means the glove meta shifts often.
With 300 or more gloves in the game, no two ranking sites agree on exactly where everything lands. We checked multiple current sources so you can see both the closest thing to a consensus and where the real disagreements are.
New here? Our Slap Battles wiki covers the basics, and the Slap Battles codes page lists any free boosts you can claim.
Here is the current glove ladder, the picks worth trusting across sources, and why the rankings swing so much.
The Quick Answer
On the most recent full ranking we checked, God Hand, Link, and Error sit in S tier. Reaper is worth calling out separately since it shows up as a strong pick on more than one source, making it one of the safer gloves to chase. Just know that with 300-plus gloves in the game, other trackers rank a completely different set of gloves in their own S tier, so treat any single list, including this one, as a starting point.
How Gloves Work in Slap Battles
Before the ranking, here is the loop every tier below is really judging.
1
Earn slaps by hitting other players. Every successful slap adds to your total, which is the currency you spend on new gloves.
2
Unlock gloves from crates, badges, or trades. Some gloves come from slap thresholds, others from limited events or trading with other players, so not every glove is available the same way.
3
Equip one glove at a time. Your glove decides your whole playstyle, from chase tools to one-shot burst to pure chaos, so picking the right one matters more than grinding harder with a weak one.
4
Check for free boosts before you grind. The Slap Battles codes page lists any current codes that speed up slap farming.
Slap Battles Glove Tier List
The ladder below follows the most recent full ranking we cross-checked, current as of July 2026. With 300 or more gloves in the game, each tier lists standouts rather than every name.
S
God Hand, Link, Error
The current top of the ladder on the most recent full ranking we checked. God Hand hits hard enough to end fights in one read, Link chains slaps across multiple opponents, and Error throws in unpredictable knockback that is hard to counter.
A
Detonator, Phase, Rage, Reaper
Strong, reliable picks that show up near the top on more than one source. Reaper in particular gets named as a top pick on other rankings too, which makes it one of the safer gloves to build around.
B
Rebound, Push, Vacuum
Solid all-rounders. They will not carry you the way the top tiers do, but they hold their own in most lobbies and are worth using while you save slaps for something better.
C
Slapple, Glove, Magnet
Below average on this list, though Magnet specifically is ranked much higher on other trackers, so do not rule it out entirely if it happens to be one you already own.
D
Orbit, Specter, Potato, Confusion
The weakest picks on this particular ranking. Potato again is a case where another source ranks it as a strong pick, so treat this tier as a starting point rather than a final verdict.
Why glove tier lists disagree so much
A different major ranking source, published a few months earlier, lists a completely different S-tier lineup: Bob, Dream, Blocked, Buddies, Extended, Spectator, and Snow. Not one of those names overlaps with the S-tier list above.
Specific gloves flip hard depending on the source too. Magnet lands in the bottom half on one ranking but near the top on another. Potato is rated as one of the weakest gloves on one list and one of the strongest on a different one. Phase moves between two different tiers depending on who is ranking it.
With a roster this big, no single site has tested every glove the same way, so treat any “best glove” claim, including ours, as one data point rather than the final word.
These names keep reappearing near the top no matter which ranking you check, even when the letter grade moves.
Gloves Worth Trusting Across Sources
Instead of picking one site’s exact board, here are the gloves that keep showing up as strong picks no matter which current ranking you check. These are the safer bets if you only have a few slap-grinds worth of patience.
- Reaper shows up as a top pick on more than one current guide, even when the exact letter grade differs.
- Phase lands in the upper half on every source we checked, just not always the same exact tier.
- God Hand is the clearest S-tier pick on the most recent single ranking, and a reasonable first target if you want one clear goal.
Tips for Picking a Glove
- Try a glove in a real match before deciding it is bad. Tier lists judge average performance, but some gloves reward practice more than others.
- Do not fully trust one single tier list site, including this one. Cross-check a glove against at least two sources before grinding hard for it.
- Watch for balance patches. Slap Battles updates often enough that a weak glove today can get buffed into a strong one later.
- Prioritize gloves that show up on multiple lists, like Reaper and Phase, over one-list-only picks if you are not sure what to chase first.
- Check the Slap Battles codes page for free boosts before a big grinding session.
Slap Battles Tier List FAQ
What is the best glove in Slap Battles?
On the most recent full ranking we checked, God Hand, Link, and Error sit in S tier. Reaper is also worth chasing since it shows up as a strong pick on more than one current source.
Why do Slap Battles tier lists disagree so much?
The game has 300 or more gloves, and different ranking sites test and weigh them differently. Some rankings share almost no overlap in their S tier, so it helps to cross-check more than one source before committing to a glove.
Is Magnet a good glove?
It depends who you ask. One current ranking puts Magnet in the bottom half, while another ranks it near the top. Try it yourself if you already have it before writing it off.
Is Slap Battles still being updated in 2026?
Yes. The game received an update on July 8, 2026, the day before this guide was written, and continues to pull in a large live player count.
Does Slap Battles have codes?
Check our Slap Battles codes page for the current list of free boosts and rewards.
How many gloves are in Slap Battles?
The game has grown to 300 or more gloves and masteries, which is the main reason no two tier lists agree on every placement.
