Cake Off is a Roblox baking contest game by the group Flipping Frogs, where you decorate a cake to match a theme and then get scored on how well it fits. Each round hands out a prompt like Birthday Party, Fairy Garden, or Christmas, and you dress your cake with toppers, frosting, and borders before the timer runs out. The better your cake scores, the more stars, Coins, and Gems you earn to spend on new decorations.
Behind the simple idea sits a big collection game of ranks, crates, and hundreds of themes, and that is where new players usually have questions. This guide covers how a round works, the game modes, the sixteen baker ranks, the decoration and crate system, tips for scoring higher, and a FAQ, plus links to the codes and script pages at the bottom.

How to Play Cake Off
- Join a round. The game picks a theme, or you vote for one of three, like Candyland or Enchanted Forest.
- Build your cake. Choose a base, then add toppers, frosting, and borders that match the theme.
- Beat the timer. You only have a set amount of time to decorate, so plan your look before you start placing items.
- Get scored. Cakes are rated at the end of the round, and higher scores hand out more stars and currency.
- Spend your rewards. Take your Coins and Gems to the store to open crates full of new decorations.
- Climb the ranks. Stars stack up over time to move you from Novice Baker toward Ultimate Baker.
Cake Off Game Modes
There are four ways to bake. Casual, Default, and Expert are the competitive modes, where the whole server bakes to the same theme and cakes are scored against each other, with Expert giving the toughest prompts and the best rewards. Freeplay is the relaxed mode: you pick any theme in the game from the full list and decorate with no timer pressure and no scoring, which makes it the best place to practice a design or just build for fun.
Once you reach 520 stars you also unlock Pro servers, which pay out 1.25 times the normal rewards, including extra stars. That bonus adds up fast, so getting to Pro servers is one of the main early goals for players who want to rank up quickly.
Cake Off Ranks
Your rank is the title shown under your name, and you climb it by earning stars from rounds. There are sixteen ranks in total, and here are the key milestones on the way to the top:

Decorations and Crates
Decorations are the heart of the game, split into toppers, frosting, top borders, bottom borders, side borders, and the boards your cake sits on. You unlock them mostly through crates, which you open with Coins and Gems in the store. There are several crates to choose from, and the Featured store slot swaps in a new pack every day, so it is worth checking back daily for something you do not own yet.
Crates are not the only source. You also earn free crates for inviting friends, unlock decoration sets straight from codes, and can grab whole prize tracks or the VIP pass with Robux. Codes are the easiest free boost, since a few of them hand you exclusive decoration sets on top of the Coins and Gems, so redeem the current ones before you start grinding crates.
Tips for New Cake Off Players
- Read the theme first, then plan. Matching the prompt closely scores better than cramming on random decorations, so pick a color scheme before the timer starts.
- Practice designs in Freeplay. With no timer or score, Freeplay is the safe place to test a cake idea before you take it into a real round.
- Redeem every active code. A few codes give exclusive decoration sets you cannot get from normal crates, plus a big pile of Coins and Gems.
- Check the Featured store daily. It rotates a new pack every day, and it is often a cheap way to grab a decoration set you are missing.
- Invite friends for free crates. Adding friends hands you crates at no cost, which is free decorations without spending any currency.
- Push for 520 stars. Unlocking Pro servers gives you 1.25 times the rewards, which speeds up every rank after that.
