Hunty Zombie is a wave-based survival shooter on Roblox where you and a squad fight off endless waves of zombies, earn coins, and upgrade your gear to push further than the last run. It’s straightforward, it’s chaotic, and when you’ve got a full lobby it actually gets pretty intense.
What You Actually Do in Hunty Zombie
Each round you spawn in, zombies start pouring in, and your job is simple: shoot everything before it reaches you. As waves get higher, the zombies get faster and tankier. You need to keep moving, keep shooting, and make sure you’re spending your coins between rounds on the right upgrades.
Coins are the main currency and you earn them by killing zombies. You use them to buy better weapons, boost your stats, or unlock new gear that makes later waves actually survivable. The progression loop is basic but it works. Getting a weapon upgrade right before a tough wave feels genuinely satisfying.
The Aegis update added some quality of life improvements that made the game feel a bit more polished. Things run smoother, and some of the rougher edges from earlier versions got cleaned up. It’s not a massive overhaul, but it shows the developer is at least still paying attention to the game.
The Good, the Annoying, and Where the Game Stands Now
The best part of Hunty Zombie is how well it works with a group. Solo runs are fine but the game clearly shines when everyone’s coordinating, covering different angles, and pooling resources to survive longer. It’s the kind of game you jump on with friends for 20 minutes and somehow end up playing for an hour.
The grind can get old fast though. Farming coins to unlock better weapons takes a while, and if you’re playing solo against high-level zombies it starts feeling like a slog. Some of the later waves feel way harder than the rewards justify, which can kill your motivation to keep pushing.
The player count isn’t massive right now. Lobbies fill up at decent times but this isn’t one of the front-page juggernauts. It has a small, steady community and the updates are coming in slowly. It’s worth playing, just don’t expect it to be everywhere.
