Jailbreak is one of the oldest and most played games on Roblox, and honestly, it still holds up. You either spawn as a prisoner trying to escape and cause chaos, or as a cop trying to stop them. That’s the whole game, and it works.
What You Actually Do in Jailbreak
As a prisoner, your first goal is breaking out of the jail. You can crawl through vents, grab a keycard, or just wait for someone else to blow the doors open. Once you’re out, the map opens up and there’s a ton to do.
Robberies are the main way to make cash. You can hit the bank, the museum, the train, the cargo plane, and more. Each one plays out a little differently, and some need a full crew to pull off properly. The more you rob, the more money you stack up.
That cash goes toward vehicles, and the vehicle lineup in Jailbreak is massive. From basic sedans to military jets and sports cars, there’s always something new to grind toward. Cops get their own set of gear too, including police cruisers, helicopters, and spike strips to take down criminals.
The Good, the Frustrating, and Where the Game Stands Now
The best part of Jailbreak is the freedom. No two sessions feel exactly the same. Sometimes you’re doing clean heists with a squad, sometimes you’re in a chaotic car chase across the whole map. The cops vs criminals dynamic keeps things unpredictable.
The grind can get rough though. Some of the better vehicles cost millions in in-game cash, and farming that solo takes forever. Server quality is hit or miss too. You’ll get smooth runs, and then you’ll get sessions where rubber banding makes every car chase a nightmare.
The game still gets regular updates from Badimo, which is good. The player count isn’t what it was during peak Jailbreak years, but there’s always a decent server to jump into. It’s not dying, but it’s definitely not the phenomenon it once was either. Still worth playing though, especially with friends.
