Kitty is a horror survival game on Roblox where one player becomes a creepy cat-human hybrid and hunts everyone else down. Think Piggy, but with a different vibe and its own cast of characters, maps, and story. It blew up a few years back and still has a solid player base keeping it alive.
How Kitty Actually Works
Each round, most players are survivors trying to escape before Kitty catches them. You run around the map collecting items, solving little puzzles, and unlocking the exit. Kitty meanwhile is chasing everyone down, and getting caught means you’re out of the round.
The game has a bunch of different chapters, each with its own map and story cutscenes. Some chapters feel genuinely creepy, especially the later ones with darker lighting and tighter corridors. There are also different playable Kitty skins and survivor characters you can unlock, which gives you something to grind toward.
You can play as Kitty too, which honestly feels great when you actually catch someone. Cornering a survivor who thinks they found a good hiding spot never gets old. The role rotates so you get a shot at both sides.
The Good and the Frustrating Parts
The atmosphere is genuinely well done for a Roblox game. The maps have real personality, the sound design is unsettling in a good way, and the story chapters actually try to tell something. It is not just a Piggy clone, it has its own identity.
The frustrating part is that matchmaking can be a mess. Rounds sometimes start with barely enough players, and if you get stuck with bad teammates who rush the exit without helping, you are pretty much done. The grind for badges and skins also takes forever if you are playing casually.
The game is not as massive as it once was. Updates have slowed down and the player count has dropped compared to its peak. But there are still enough people playing to find matches, and the core gameplay holds up fine. If you like Piggy-style games, it is worth your time.
